During 2021, the LDA facilitated an early consultation phase relating to this project, seeking to communicate widely with all stakeholders, interested parties and individuals in the surrounding town and location.
Using a new website, surveys, meetings with local stakeholders and the electorate, our public engagement process has listened closely and gathered knowledge on local strengths, needs, challenges and opportunities, along with the feedback through the Community Liaison Office and other communication channels. This initial communication stage set out the context of the Columb Barracks Project, introduced the LDA and the Advisory Group and set out clearly the relationships between all partners. We continue to facilitate our Community Liaison Office for this project, and we hope to hear from anyone who is interested in what they see as important and needed in the potential planning of this unique and valued site.
